  • G10 Board

I came across someone selling sheets of G10 fiberglass. The sheets are 36 by 48 and 3/8 thick (.375). My question is what would you consider to be a good deal on these and what are some of the uses you have seen in boat building? I may buy if it is a good deal and I can figure out where to best use it.

g10 is an amazing backing plate or core material for items under high load - cleats, lifting eyes, etc.

Very tough stuff, all my cleats and my t top legs are bedded to it.

It's overkill for regular coring however, IMO. I wouldnt recore my whole decks with it for instance.

      Justin,

Did you screw your T-top to the stuff or through bolt?

Screwed. Snapped a 1/4" SS screw head off too.

        Holding well.
