1996 Mako 251 under gunnel rod holders

Hey guys I'm in the middle of restoring my 1996 251 and I can't seem to find any pictures or anything to replicate the under gunnel rod holders. The boat didn't come with the racks inside the box since it was a national park service boat. Im hopeing someone has pictures of them or could mabey send me a set they have replaced on thier boat so I can have someone make me some.

This is the configuration on the 78 Mako 25.

With the rod compartment closed. Looking forward.



The right hand panel is a sliding panel riding in a kerf cut in the top and bottom mouldings.

Don't know how your 251 liner is set up. If it has the same cut out as the standard 251 (without the molded rod racks), something like this might work for you.

my 241 is gone so don't have pictures, but should be almost identical side rod storage on most 221 up to 261 after 1988 or so, just guessing on the years but don't think you would need that exact model or year to replicate that, good luck!

Sadly this is the best picture I have showing my rod boxs. I bought a set of taco starboard rod holders for under gunnel bit the notchs for the rods are no were close to lining up with what I have
