I did this on my 1991 221. I put a bronze Tee fitting on the existing water pickup and ran the hose into the console using the port side rigging tube. I mounted the pump on the inside of the console. My boat had a socket for plugging in the top running light on the STBD side of the console that I did not use. I removed the socket and mounted a fitting there that was hose barb on one side and was garden hose thread on the other. By mounting it there I can reach the whole boat without needing much hose. I leave it hanging on the side of the console by hooking the spray nozzle onto one of the T-top supports. I think the pump will last much longer in the console than in a more exposed location and we have a lot of room in the console.
Somewhere I read this unit had good reviews. Just can't seem to remember where. I have kept this unit bookmarked ever since
