  • 1987 231 color match fiberglass repair

Looking to fill all the old abandoned drill holes and small cracks around my boat. I know that my fiberglass is not pure white. Anyone know if i can buy precolored marine tex or fiberglass repair epoxy that already matches my boat?

Jamestown Distributors has a Gel coat with Wax that is real close to the Oyster white color. I have used it a lot. I will see if I can pull a number tonight.

        bbarrow 18,

If you're located in South Florida, I've got some gel coat from an '88 236 that should

match your boat. E-mail me at [email protected].

Just don't use marine-tex because it turns yellow over time.

The Dusky White from FGCI is about as near a match as I've seen.

                Dusky white no filler?

straight up, you can get waxed or unwaxed, no color matching needed. Now the match is to buffed out (glossy) gelcoat. If you have chalky gelcoat in need of buffing/waxing it appears white versus the off white that the boat originally was.

search for my build thread on my 1985 21B
