  • Re powering 2000 191

Re powering my 2000 191, presently powered by 135 Opti going to a 150 4 stroke.

A few questions, does anyone know the max transom weight for the 191, the new engine is 206 kgs, the Opti was 195 kgs ( Sorry about the metric stuff but Im an Aussie)

The old Opti is a 2000 model with

436 hrs what would you expect to be a fair trade price, engine is complete with smart gauges.

Final and most important will the bolt holes match?

    All input greatly appreciated.

    Boats been awesome love it!!

My dad just repowered his 2001 192 with a 150 Yammie 4 stroke. He replaced the Yamaha OX66 150, so the holes were the same and the weight is not much different. He got $1500 for the old engine, which needed to have the upper drive shaft bushing replaced. The deal kept it for the power head which ran awesome. I would not worry about a little extra weight unless your boat is an open transom and you are worried about it self bailing. You can counter the extra weight by adding some to the bow when sitting in her slip, if you do that.
