  • Premade Starboard Hatches and doors

Yes i know people love the teak of a classic mako, but i am replacing with starboard. Do any companies make prefab starboard hatches/doors/accessories for Makos? I have a 1987 231.

    Thanks Guys!

I don't think you'll be able to find premade hatches however I replaced my aft fishbox hatches with sea foam starboard and it was very easy. If you look through my build you can see them and how I did it. One thing I've learned about starboard is it is very slippery to walk on. I do not recommend using it for the livewell hatch

I had my new doors and frames made out of starboard by Buck Woodcraft, and was VERY happy with the results. They have some basic info on their website, but have done so many they probably have most standard sizes & models on file. Call them.

Buck Woodcraft Offers Two Unique Design Alternatives For Single-Panel Boat Doors Low-Profile Doors   Our low-profile doors are fabricated with 1/2 thick King Starboard frames and door panels -- delivering excellent quality custom-sized doors at an economical price and Premium boat Doors

      Good luck!

          check out boathelpshop.com

he has ones he makes, I ended up building my own as well. It wasnt difficult for me to make some with a table saw, router, and I bought a kreg jig. I have less in materials than some of the pre made ones these people want to buy

I second using Jim Campell for any custom work. He made our anchor locker and louvered doors for the cabin with custom screening and trim piece for hatch. You wouldn't be disappointed.

Durable and attractive, this single panel hinged King Starboard access door is trusted by hundreds of boat builders worldwide. Simply order to size for a custom engineered door to your specifications. Your custom OEM quality door sets into your hole, and a few screws later installation is complete!

I bought several hatches from here. The quality was great and you just put in the "hole" dimensions and they fit perfectly. They can get pretty pricey though...
