  • 300 GAL FUEL TANK WITH BAFFLES

Searching in topics, i've read that someone has designed and realized a baffled tank for the 285 Dual Console to solve flushing problems.

Is it possible to talk with him??

I would like to talk with someone who has just done this work on the boat.

    Thnx a lot

I am not sure what you are asking, what are flushing problems? Fuel tanks of that size made for the marine industry have baffles in them to help prevent weight shifts of fuel as the boat moves along.

I thought I remember some 285 guys commenting on how the factory tank was not baffled and it caused issues at rest fishing with the 300g sloshing around.

Didn't John or Nick (Gigabyte) comment on this? It's been so long..

I dont think there was anything special to the design of the baffles, they just needed to be added because the original tanks didnt have enough slosh prevention. A good tank builder should make sure its done right for you.
