i have found a 88 mako 261 with twin suzuki 140's on it.i know that it would be under powered but my question is how bad?the guy is not wanting a lot of money for it and it looks to be in good shape with low hrs.what is everyone's thoughts on it.please let me know if you have had similar experience with boats this size and hp.

It would be under powered for sure, but if good enough of a deal sell engines and put 175+ on it. Also verify it is indeed a 261, seen many 25/254 listed as 261
