I bought a project boat which was in dire shape. The deck had been butchered and the console moved against the gun whales- I guess to allow more floor space. The deck was soft all over. I have pulled the deck out and got the wet foam out. I am looking for suggestions on how to build a support structure since it was originally a 1-piece deck supported by the foam. I am new to boat ownership but want to invest some time and talent to make this a custom inland fishing boat. I currently live in Florence , SC.

Why wouldnt you put new foam and a new floor back in? Close to original. This is one of the benefits of the 19. She doesnt sink. I understand the wet foam sucks but look how long it lasted. Watch....

Oh yes. I am definitely foaming and new deck. Just want to get suggestions on how to support the deck since it did not rest on the stringers previously. I am also looking to raise the casting deck about 6" and adding some storage there.
