22 Mako repower

Good morning all

I have a shot at repowering my 22 mako cc with a 225 Suzuki. It has a 225 yamaha OX66. Any thought on the weight issues? Genaral input appreciated..

2 stroke or 4 stroke zuk? How's the transom?

4 stroke Transom is solid.

Well, an OX is 475 ish lbs and a zuk is only 100 more. you're probably fine, but you could buy a couple 50# bags of sand, put them in the stern, and see how the scuppers sit and how it rides to be sure.
