  • Looking for Shurflo washdown pump...?

Does anyone know where I can get a Shurflo washdown pump at a good price? Ebay has them around $85. Just thought I'd ask here before buying one. It's going to be a replacement for a freshwater washdown setup.

I pulled this one out of my buddy's 1988 Wellcraft 230 Coastal this afternoon. Can't even read the model number on the label, but it's marked "Open Flow 2.8" and "GPM 11.0", and has a manufacturing date of 2/87. Yes, it was original equipment.

Thanks in advance for any help!

    Tom

More expensive than the Shurflow... but you might also want to look at the Groco pumps. They are top of the line...

The Groco is the Top Dog, but the Jabsco parmax 3 or 4 is a much better choice than the Surflow.

Outdoor Superstore sold out of the Parmax 3's. I bought one for Hammertime's boat and one for my boat. They still have the Parmax 4's.

My Jabsco par max 4 already went out on me. When you install it motor up, the wires connections are at the bottom, and the little cup that is supposed to protect them fills with water. Well, connections aren't shrink wrapped or anything. So it rusted through and broke off in no time. I pulled it and figured out the problem, reconnected it, shrink wrapped the connections and then hit it with some corrosion x heavy duty. I then drilled a couple of holes in the bottom of that "cup" so that water would not sit in there.

Other than that I love the pump, pretty high pressure. It is one of my favorite additions to the boat. Very convenient, and I can switch between raw and fresh water.
