Greetings. I have made one or two other posts here, and then realized I had not said hello. I apologize for not following the appropriate protocol. Anyway, I am interested in finding and purchasing an older boat in the 19-21 foot range, preferably with a small cabin. The boat would be primarily used in the IRL and inshore/nearshore, on both the east & west coasts. The boat is intended to be a means of working with my father and gleaning as much knowledge from him as possible.

As of now, I do not have my eyes on any boat, and though I am looking, it is also a slightly slower process since it involves my father and we are on separate coasts. It would be nice if we could find a Mako, as we had one in the 80s he fondly remembers--it was a 238 W/A (I think)--and was a sweet ride.

That's all I've got at the moment. I may ask a question here and there, and I'll even answer a few...Oh, and this is a really nice place you've got here...I hopw to make use of your knowledge at some point in the future. Peace.

Deep Diver - Sounds like you will be looking for a 21 Cuddy or something larger. I am not aware of anything smaller that Mako made that has a Cuddy. I'm sure if there was, someone will chime in to correct me.

It does seem that when it comes to Makos I will be at the top end or slightly above my listed requirements. From what I can tell, it appears that the models that best suit what I am looking for might be either the 220 or the 228. But I might be mistaken...it has happened once or twice. [] If Mako did make a 21 with a cuddy...that'd be cool as well.

Thanks for the info and reply. Peace.
