  • Side Mount Outrigger Holders

Does anyone know a good source for side mount outrigger holders? Which is better side mount or gunnel mount holders?

What is the pitfalls of water intrusion into the gunnels? (closed gunnels)

    Thanks.

I would thing it depends on which make of outriggers you are going to use.

I had to have some backing plates custom made for my gunnel mounts. They were a pain to install due to angle and the tube got in the way for tightening the one bolt.

I removed them and patched the holes when I installed the TTop. I went with the Taco riggers mounted on the top of Ttop.

To show you how much I care for my gunnel mounted riggers, they are yours free for pickup ( mounts, riggers, etc.) in Reedville, VA.

The lousy design makes them drain directly into the foam. Terrible engineering.
