  • another trailer tire question

Hey, Ive got to replace my trailer tires this month, Ive got a loadrite trailer and a mako 19 w/ 90hp OB. The tires on there now are 225/75/R15. Is there a problem with replacing them with the 205/75/R15 sized tires/ rims? They are cheaper and Im low on funds.

They are narrower, what is rim width?

Not sure of the width, I guess I was asking if 205/75/R15's would handle the weight of the 19? Thanks.

I think the only slight issue you would have to deal with is that if you go to smaller tires, you have to think that it will spin faster compared to a larger tire going the same speed and that decreases bearing life. Other than that I don't think it would be a big deal
