  • found a west coast mako for sale

What do you guys think from the pic on ebay? I have been looking for a while and this is the first west coast one I have found. How much do guess to repower? Its 4ft smaller than I want, but beggers can't be choosers and I figure I better cut my teeth on a smaller boat first. Thanks in advance for any opinions!

looks like a good project, needs a bigger fuel tank for a 150 in my opinion. The good thing is it has all the pieces there now so instead of trying to figure out what you need, now you know and just have to fix it. Trailer is a big + in my eyes as I spent 2k just redoing my trailer but I did it a little custom.

Do what I did. Buy in the east at a good price and bring the darn thing home. Got an 84 17' Mako with 89 110 Evin for $3K. No soft spots, hull looks good, transom OK and no gas leaks. Trailer is not bad but needs new tires.
