    HERE GOES,

    IM GOING TO REPOWER MY 221-B WHICH HAS A FACTORY BRACKET AND I CURRENTLY HAVE A 200 MERC WITH A 25 INCH SHAFT, THE QUESTIONS IS, MY CAVITATION PLATE IS NOT DIRECTLY IN LINE WITH THE VEE-BOTTOM WOULD A 30INCH SHAFT MOTOR FIT WITH OUT A JACK PLATE OR SHOULD I GET ANOTHER 25 INCH SHAFT MOTOR I DONT WANT TO MESS UP MY RIDE, I KNOW CAPT ANDY AND WARTHOG MAY HELP WHAT SHOULD I DO PLEASE HELP OH IM GOING FOR A YAMAHA 250 FOR THOSE THAT WONDER THANKS GUYS

    I can't help you with the engine length, except I think the 25 " would be where I would stay, and you need to not type in all caps. Save that when you really want to stress something, and you need to add your profile on the bottom of your topic before the boogie monster gets you. Don

      If you have a bracket, then the cavitation plate should be higher then bottom of the hull.
