  • Shakedown trip

I was home for a week off last week and finally got my boat in the water for the first time. The first trip was to Chandeleur for three days and it went well. I found some things that need to be worked on but for the most part it went very smooth. I cruised at 4000 Rpms and did just over 28 kts, due to the chop we had I never did get to wot but at one point I did have it up to 5200 rpms. Over the three days I went about 160 miles (by the gps) and used 86 gallons of fuel.

As far as the fishing goes we the number of fish we caught wasn't all that good but we caught some decent trout, of which about a dozen were in the 24 inch range.
