Well, here's my Christmas present to all of the Mako family. I have been talking about getting a forum running for months and here it is. Its not the best software package, but it was a FREE software package. The costs to run and maintain the server still stay the same, but for now its taken care of thanks to Louisiana Web Host, LLC.

I plan to have several sections of the forum running smoothly in the next few days. This will be a free forum for the Mako public to discuss Mako boats... For the most part. I have no problems with other forums being mentioned or linked to on this forum. The way I see it, there is a ton of information out there on the web and its not all in ONE place. So if you know where some good info can be found, by all means share it with us.

However, I will not allow any business to be promoted on this forum without proper consent from the Forum Administrator. Non-Profit organizations are fine though. Any scams, spam, or virus type scripts that are posted here will be terminated and the poster will be terminated as well.

Please be respectful of others and engage in gentleman-like conversations with the intent to learn or spread knowlege to others. The Forum Administrators and Moderators reserve to right to edit, censor, or delete posts and topics which don't abide by the forum policies. Please use good taste, thats all I ask.

I will be placing a classified ads section on the forum. It will be free to post an item for sale there.

    Merry Christmas and ENJOY!

Thanks for coming aboard Ed! I hope we can use this to build a strong online Mako group. I sent that e-mail to as many addreses of Mako owners that I recognized in Outlook, but I'm sure I messed a few.

Ed, This is a great start and I'm glad to be on board. Let's hope it's a well behaved, knowledgeable site for all. No need for any nitwits.

Oh and thank you again for the copy of the owners manual. It's in much better shape than I expected from your email.

Ed, 10-4. Much better shape than what I expected. I'll have to write the history of this boat down someday. Most of you would be suprised. It was cool to see that they offered an outrigger base from the factory. I wonder if they were any good and also if they are still available?
