    Is the 224 the same boat as the 228 without the cuddy?

    Does the added weight of the cuddy give the 228 a little better ride?

      It is the same hull with a different liner. The 224 has a great ride but trim tabs are a must.

          I doubt it because on a 228 you are standing about 2 feet closer to the bow as you drive the boat. That alone will make the ride feel a little more harsh.

            The 228 is a great boat.You really appreciate the cuddy with an enclosure when your fishing in the early spring and late fall up here in the northeast.Mako 224 is right about the trim tabs.I could'nt beleave the difference they made.
