  • Prop Question

I am pushing my 25cc with a 1993 Yami 250 with a 19inch prop. At wot, 5600, I go about 36knots and cruise at about 28knots 4600rpm. Do any of you had advice for going to a 20 or 21 inch prop. Any experiences??

Stay with the 19P. Anything more and your hole shot will go to hell as well as too much stress on your motor to swing that prop at any RPM. These motors need to run WOT at what their specs call for anything more or less is damaging. You are doing just fine.

I saw your Mako at Champion Trailer this weekend... getting some trailer work done?

I'm running 14.75 x 21 on my 25CC with twin 200hp. If you are able to get that kind of RPM out of a single 250hp with a 19 pitch, I'd stay with it. Most boats I have seen with a single engine on a 25CC use a 17 pitch.

Eddie: You are very observative. I am converting the rollers to bunks and having the old galvanized trailer refurbed. I will be over there later in the week to pick it up. Have time for a beer??
