    Diesel in gas tank

    Tried to run diesel in my yamaha (long story) but in short did I damage my motor? A couple of people told me to change my plugs and flush it out with new gas and everything would be fine??? Is this true or is there something else I should do? Would this be a good time for ring free?

    Im sure your ok but only run it at a high idle untill your sure all the diesel is out of the carbs and fuel system. Your real job is going to be draining your fuel and filters. You can remove the drain screws from the bottom of the carbs to make it a little easier to get good fuel into the carbs. let us know how it turns out.

      Dont feel bad,,did same thing the first day of brand new merc 135 in 1987..have to say we never got it right after that but there are many variables ..foggy time for me back than but i will tell it was in marina gas tanks and they wouldnt admitt it!!![!]
