Thanks for reply - This place seems like a ghost town on Friday afternoons. I am going to attempt this weekend since the wind won't stop blowing and my insurance company is giving me fits trying to insure a 23 year old hull.

it's an epoxy based filler, kinda similar to fairing putty. I've used it many times to patch holes and cracks on both fiberglass and aluminum. works great in my opinion. You can mix your own epoxy & cabosil for the same results but less money.

I have some bored out holes on some hinges I need to fill and redrill. I have be told Marine Tex is good and real easy to work with - apparently it goes on like putty then hardens like gel coat and can be sanded and redrilled and will last forever. Has anyone used this product or have another suggestion for strenthening hinges.
