  • 1976 Mako 231 question

i understand that the last two digits of the serial number designates the year manufactured.

the last digits of my serial number are 76 followed by a M2. does anyone have any clues what the letters designate?[?]

    thanks in advance

I went to you profile and looked at the pictures of your boat. WOW! 400 hp on a 23'. It ought to scoot very well.

Is that a teak liquor cabinet that is part of the leaning post?

The wood on this boat really looks nice.

Hey Mako235, look at those pictures as compared to the one that we have.

I check to see if our 1976 23 footer has that numbered suffix on the H.I.N.

      hey BR.

      thanks for the compliments.

wood is IPE wood. or malasian mahogany.

the "leaning post" is a 75 gallon fuel tank. with a tackle locker on to of it. no liquor but great idea.

      thanks again
