  • HULL SPECS FOR__1980 25' C/C

WELL, HERE I GO. I'M ABOUT TO TRY TO ACCURATELY PRESSURE TEST THE TANKS ON MY 25'. I AM TOLD THAT THERE ARE TWO TANKS, ONE BEING 100 GALLONS, THE OTHER BEING 51 GALLONS. THROUGH SOME RESEARCH ON THE BOAT, I'VE BEEN TOLD THAT THE ONE 51 GALLON TANK LEAKS. BEFORE I FILL IT UP AND FIND OUT THE HARD WAY, I'M HOPING A PRESSURE TEST WILL LET ME KNOW.

THE PREVIOUS OWNER SEEMS TO THINK IT MIGHT NOT BE THE TANK, BUT RATHER ONE OF THE HOSES/FUEL LINES .

COULD ANYONE SUPPLY ME WITH AN SCHEMATIC DRAWING OR LAYOUT OF UNDERNEATH THE DECK. WHERE THE TANKS LAY, HOSES / LINES.

UNFORTUNATELY, THE BOAT HAS A BRAND NEW CONSOLE/HARDTOP, ELECTRONICS , ETC. SO IT WILL BE VERY LABOR INTENSIVE TO GET IN THERE TO BEGIN WITH,SO IF IT CAN BE AVOIDED, IT WOULD BE A GOOD THING.

HOW CAN I ACCURATELY PRESSURE TEST THE TANK, AVOIDING LINES AND HOSES?

    THANKS,

    JIM...

Your going to have to remove the fuel fill hose and the vent hose, remove the fuel line and plug that too. Cap those ports off and then preasure check. Do not go over 4psi with preasure.

      Jim,

Look in the reference section. There's a manual for a 25. Good luck.
