  • 1972 Mako 22'

I Live in destin Florida and am looking at purchasing a 1972 mako 22' for sale locally and wanted your opinion. The Boat is appears to be in good shape structurally and is in overall good shape cosmetically as well (needs thins such as new cushion and teak replaced). It has a 1996 225 hp 3.0L Offshore Mercury that is serviced every year and compression check good. Includes a Galvanized tandem trailer that is fine for local towing but could use a little bit of work. Has no T-Top of any kind or electronics. Mercury is mounted on a type of bracket that looks like it would lift straight up or down, but is not a protruding bracket. The transom is not full but doesnt look as low as most ive seen. The asking Price is $8500. Does this seem like a good deal and does anyone have any comments about this model boat or this particular setup? Thanks everyone. [email protected]

Hello, I have a 1972 22' and I love it for what i use it for, which is inshore fishing. When i make runs off shore it is a rough ride if there is chop greater than 3 feet. It is an extremely well built boat though. With that motor, it seems like a good price, how's the trailer?
