  • Removing the C-Pac__and Flush mounting

I am thinking and planning to remove my c-pac and then cover the hole with a sheet of ? and then flush mount my electronics in that sheet.

Any ideas as to material to make the covering sheet out of?

I was thinking "Starboard or the like" but the thought of a nice

varnished sheet of wood also has some appeal.

The electronics are a Furuno 600l, Garmin 182c, Standard VHF.

C-Pac...Mako's electronics box system, It's the big black box with the

clear door in picture holding the Furuno unit. It was designed so you

can remove your electronics somewhat easy.

Get the best of both worlds.

I flush mounted the radar in my c-pak, all other electronics are flush overhead. This gives a very clean look, yet the radar head is easily removable for winter storage.

If you go to the stock boats page you can see what I did...Geoff's 26..
