  • Inspection Hatch Covers

Trying to find a winter project for my boat. I plan on replacing the inspection hatches. The ultra violet light has broken down the plastic and they are coated with some type of powder.

One measures 4 1/2" on the smaller size and screws in. The bilge opening is 8" for the deck plates. The 8" have a textured surface with a rubber "O" ring.

Where is the best place to locate replacements. I have browsed the internet. What is your expierence trying to locate something close to original for replacement.

I don't know about matching, but have you looked at these?

      Thanks Wart,

I saw several but I never found that site. Prices look the best I have found.

      Got your compressor yet?

      I appreciate the help,

No, you typically have to grind down the flange on the insert.

Beckson polypropelene (sp?) is the closer fit than their ABS plates.
