  • Kicker bracket capacity

The 93' Mako CC that I bought came with a kicker bracket located

to the right of the transom.

I have no way of knowing what size kicker engine ( weight ) it can handle.

I have a 9.5hp that I'd like to use, but don't want to tear of

the bracket - or damage the boat.

    Any ideas?

When I bought my Angler I hade a folding bracket on the stern. The original owner had a 9.9 on it and it was fine. My dad has the same bracket on his 25' with a 15hp and no problem there either.

I would look for the same bracket in magazines, web sites, etc, - or just go straight to the manufacturer and ask them for some specs.

those brackets are rated for HP ranges from 2.5 - 25, max depends on the model you have. your doing the right thing by checking first but in most cases, the hardmounted brackets should be fine with a 9.9 on it.
