  • mako 228 cuddy named the "vera-ray"

i grew up on this boat...fished it every sunday until my grandfather passed away in 1986..my uncle held onto it for a few years and eventually wound up selling her shortly after moving to florida in the early nineties. just wondering if any of you purchased the " vera ray " from my uncles marina in hudson florida-pelican marine center.boy do i have stories about that boat..spreading aunt ednas ashes in 230 foot of water south of moriches and hooking into 3 makos that day .............taking a 6 foot beaker over the transom coming thru the inlet............and living to tell about it today....coming back inshore on the kicker motor because someone left the battery switch on all and also had the bilge pump on all day after many hours of drifting for sharks 30 miles offshore.....the first day grandpa drove the boat alone and couldnt dock her at the end of the day...what memories....
