Thanks everyone for all the help/info. Told the girlfriend I had some news[:0]....she was actually pretty happy and she even already had a feeling I was going to tell her I bought a boat.....lucky man I am.[]

Will be puchasing a new trailer to feel confident pulling the 700 mile roundtrip to the coast.

When you go shopping for a trailer. Get one that has foward keel bunks on it. It will make your life much easier to load and the boat will ride better too.
