Thanks for the link, I enjoyed going through the manual.

Do you know what year that 231 manual is for?

My transom does not have the above water line deck drains

as shown. Also the live well shown has some fancy plumbing, I

seem to have an open pit with just a drain hole at the bottom.

My problem seems to be the bait well fills up with water even when

I shut off the inlet valve. I don't use the bait well and would prefer to keep the water out.

Cape Cod 231-

The owners manual on the site is a copy of mine, which is a 1991 Mako 231. In all reality, I think it is a leftover manual from prior years because some of the stuff that is listed in the manual does not apply to my boat (ie rod storage in rear gunwale lockers....mine are closed off).

Anyway, you should be fine. Hell of a boat.
