  • Rabud Sea Scuppers ???

Anyone have any opinion on these scuppers for the old "wet foot" syndrome in an old 20'er ? Supposedly will block water from coming in - but my concern would be if it lets it out quick enough...

I didn't like them the first time is saw them. They look like they would break easily. But I have a friend that has a 31 Island runner, that was the wettest boat that I have ever been on. He put them on and it is now dry as a bone.

Get the T-H Marine Flo-Max ball scuppers instead. The cap is easily removeable for cleaning. I got mine from www.boatfix.com

I have the rabud scuppers and they work great but the T&H design is even better. Boy, is this forum a great resource. Tony

Are the ball scuppers better than a flap scupper?

Yes, the ball scuppers work better and they don't stay open while the boat is at rest.

Will the TH Marine Ball scuppers be an easy retrofit in place of the standard 1.5" round flappers? I assume give the ball scupper's many screw holes that the answer is yes...
