  • Should i buy it...

I saw a Mako 22b (1976), in a house backyard. I ask if they sale the boat and if i could inspect it. I saw a rotten floor in the side of the console, the bottom has a few cracks that leak water from the inside out. The engines, a pair of Yamaha 115hp 1996 with a very good compretion. When i ask the price they told me $10,000 i think it's to much for all the repairs that has to be done. I know that's a good boat after the repair, but it's worth it?

    What should you do?

I'm betting that they are making that price based on the engines. But those aren't exactly brand new either. That boat has too much bad stuff going on to buy it at that price, even if the motors are in great shape. I'd say that given the condition of the hull $6000 would be the most I'd pay... The hull obviously needs lots of work.

      Don't even bother looking again.

The hull has been comprimised. Very well could have had a hard grounding.

Maybe launched on the hard at a ramp?
