  • 81 Mako 17 Standard For Sale *Updated w/ Pictures*

I bought this as a project and got a decent start on it before coming across a deal on another boat I can't pass up. 1981 Mako 17 Standard with an 87 Yamaha 115 with stainless prop. Solid transom, mostly solid floor, more details below. Great platform for a project or needs VERY little to be ready to go fishing next weekend.

The below list is what has been replaced since Sept 18.

Trailer: EZ Loader single axle aluminum I-beam

    New tongue tube and coupler

    New security cables

New winch and strap, with heavier duty winch post

New cross members with keel roller and hardware on the trailer

    New carpet on trailer bunks

    New trailer wiring and taillights

New trailer tires, literally just put those on. 0 miles on them.

Within the past 3 years the axles, hubs and springs were all replaced.

    Boat:

    New spark plugs

    New lower unit fluid

    New Mako OEM windshield

    New windshield grab bar

New fuel/water separator filter and housing (with extra filters)

    New fuel primer bulb

New 4-bow Bimini top on sliding track with 6 rocket launchers

Mounted used Yamaha Pro Series 4 analog tachometer and speedometer (not wired up yet)

New 6.5 speakers on side of console (also not wired up, no radio on boat)

    New scupper plugs

Brand new Carver semi-custom boat cover, gray

Previous owner replaced the gas tank and lines when he did the axles and springs on the trailer a few years back. I just topped off the tank and its right about 20 gallons.

    The Bad:

The trim/tilt gave out and I havent had time to replace it. I have the new trim motor and wired up up real quick to make sure that was the issue, and it is.

Shes not the prettiest thing with the bottom paint flaking off, but I also have 2 gallons of Interlux Trilux 33 that will go with the boat.

The floor is a bit swollen and still firm except for one small soft spot near the bow, where it is also slightly cracked.

It also currently has an older Humminbird 525 fish finder on it that works well

Asking $4,000 obo pending the trim motor replacement.

UPDATE: Here is a short video of the second time I had it on the water - https://youtu.be/ifiSpfIdhDE
