  • WTB Bracketed 221/232

Had an open transom 221 many years ago that I would probably still own if it were bracketed....Was a great boat that felt performed much larger than she actually was. That being said, I am looking for a bracketed 221 or 232 in good shape....

I am in Chas SC and am looking to downsize out of a 31 Pursuit... young family(2 kids under 3 at the ripe old age of 45) just isn't conducive to having and /or using the big boat at this time. Seems most of my time these days is spent island hopping so the kids can play somewhere rather than spending time offshore like I used to. For some reason, I cannot get my wife to grasp the concept that I do not enjoy having to manhandle a 15k pound boat at our local sandbars(ridiculously crowded with a 6-7 foot tidal swing nonetheless...) while she keeps the kids at bay. The skiff is to small as we encounter significant open/rough water, not to mention that I swear she(the wife) is part gypsy, as we can't leave the house without half of it's contents! That bring me back to looking at the boat I bought 20+ years ago once again...

I would be a cash buyer....not in a huge hurry but would be able to purchase the right 221/232 at most anytime, depending on the seller's timeline.

    Thanks for your help!

    Scott

There is another thread similar to this that I posted this boat in last week...

          https://mobile.craigslist.org/bod/d/...685872756.html

Ad says 231, but it is a factory full transom, so either 221B or 232.

a 241B or 261B would fit a lot more admirals and a lot more sandbar friendly compared to a 33, just a thought
