  • 200 HP Outboard Wanted

Need to repower my 1986 21B. Looking for a decent 200 HP 2 or 4 stroke that won't break the bank. Any suggestions on where to find one would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

Shame you can't wait until fall. Wife says I can buy my new SUZI after this season.

My current motor 2003 Evinrude 200 runs like a raped date now that I had the cooling system flushed and the computer rebuilt last year. Motor only has approx 190 hrs

I may be removing and selling my two 225 opti's. They are the same block as a 200, just computer differences. Do not know if you would be interested. I am in St. Petersburg, FL.

If not, I can ask my mechanic as he usually has stuff laying around.

There's a complete Yamaha OX66 250 with 1000 hours and all the controls and rigging over on THE HULL TRUTH. He's asking 3400 or best offer and its had alot of recent maintenance. Seems like a pretty good deal to me.

When would you take it off? What would you be asking for it?

                  Thanks

Franzen Marine in Tampa,FL does great job with used engines and has low shipping anywhere

I got a great deal all the way around with a 225 Johnson - couldn't be happier

1998 and 1999 CR optimax 225. I just paid a year ago 4,000 for the 99 CR and I stupidly crunched the lower unit when I forgot the thrust washer so I just put a brand new lower on that one so that price would be a little higher.

For the 1998 standard 225 I would ask 4k for it. Has about 740 hours on it and runs just fine.

I really think I am going to pull them off and get some smaller engines.

If not, call my mechanic, Offshore Machine, guy named Tom, 727-seven nine eight 677 one. Tell him Scott with the Mako 254 told you to call. He usually has what you need.

We were trying to get one more season (September) so that we wouldn't be into another payment until years end. I was going to ask $3500 and see what interest I got since people are selling similar here for 3-4k

I have a 2009 200 HO with 1300 hours. Newer lower unit and just did a bunch of maintenance to get it ready for upcoming season. Dealer maintained by Bud's Outboards they have all service records. Entertaining selling it to upgrade to a new G2 but still in the pipedream status unless I can find a buyer of my current engine.

That's a good looking boat and motor. What would you be asking for the motor?

                              Thanks!
