  • 1988 Mako 17' Angler w/__2004 Honda 90 4Stk. SOLD!

It's time to sell my sweet little Mako Angler. It's great boat, but life has me moving away from the water for a couple years and I can't see storing it for that long. The boat is located in Washington, NC, right off of Hwy 17 at the Pamlico River. Asking $7,000.00. She is a 1988 17" Mako Angler with a 2004 90 HP Honda 4 stroke. I bought it in Daytona in 2007 and brought it to NC. The new motor was put on in 2007 right before I bought it and now has only 325 hours on it. The motor has recently been serviced and runs like a top. Included is an aluminum trailer. I have no title on the trailer, but it works.

Since buying the boat in 2007 I have added the following upgrades:

    -New no-feedback steering

    -New Marine Battery

    -Bennet Trim Tabs

-Garmin 498C color GPS and depth finder

-New 1/4' thick windshield from UPD Plastics

    -New bilge pump

-Replaced corroded scupper tubes with PVC

-Added a Keel Guard to protect the bow while putting it on the trailer

-Added a Honda stainless steel prop, 16x13.5 pitch.

-Stainless Steering Wheel with turning knob.

-FootCush behind the console for comfy feet.

-New LED Lights on the trailer

Thats just off the top of my head. It works very well, easily hits the upper 30s MPH at 5500RPM. It's easy on gas if you don't run WOT all the time.

Upgrades previous to my ownership include:

    Custom teak step pads

    Custom Switch Panel

Navy Blue Bimini top, not pictured.

    Also includes:

    Anchor, rope, and chain

    Life Jackets

Large seating cushions behind the console

    Motor lifting eye

    Recirculating pump for Livewell

    Icon VHF Radio and Antenna

    Dock Lines and Fenders

Extra can of paint for nonskid deck

    Extra Aluminum Prop

Clamp-on anchor light for grad rail

It has the original gelcoat and has never had bottom paint. The deck has been painted with a nice tan nonskid as shown in the pics. The floor is solid, no soft spots. As far as I know, the gas tank is original. I have seen no leaks since Ive owned it. The transom is solid. I had the motor off to install the steering cables, check the transom, and repair the corroded scupper tubes and found no issues. It appears that there has been some transom repair in the past, so I think that repair is holding very well and dont see any problems with it in the foreseeable future. There is one fine crack along the top of the transom cap/seam that I have sealed with 4200 and have seen no further issues with that. I have always kept the boat in a garage or under cover, never totally exposed to the elements. I have no reason to think that there is water in the tank coffin or foam. There are the normal, minimal, spider cracks in some corners. I have filled all old screw holes with MarineTex. Everything works. The only thing I would work on is the wiring. There is some old wiring under the console that could be trimmed or eliminated. Check out these pics. I can be reached at Seven 0 4 - Tw0 87 2169. email [email protected]
