  • Beautiful 254 for sale - Sold

This is a very good original Mako that will get you offshore and on fish. This boat does not look like an older boat, I promise! This one is beautiful. It has twin 1999 Yamaha OX66-250 motors that have about 730 hours on them and run great. They will push this solid boat at 32mph at only 3700 rpm. 45mph at 5000 rpm. Both motors have recently been serviced by Leader Marine in Freeport, TX. Ready to fish or safely cruise with your family. Full electronic set up, including VHF, radar, sonar and gps linked along with a blue-tooth able radio. Outriggers, t-top, live well, plenty of storage, plenty of rod holders.

New since 2014: Full hull paint, full interior paint, new Garmin electronics, new transom, TANK REMOVED AND REPLACED, battery charger. Trailer is in excellent shape, aluminum, dual axle with brakes.

Beautiful boat! I would suspect twin 250's on a 25' being much faster.

Thanks ChuckB. You were right, I should have listed the speed as about 45mph at 5000rpm. There is still a little left there, but I rarely run more than the cruise speed.

Looks very nice. Did you have the transom height increased? I see knees were added.

Yes, the transom was raised when the tank was pulled and the boat was painted in 2014.

Are the motors 30"? What is transom core, and was entire transom recored? Does the boat have a single tank, size?

ChuckB, the motors are 30" shafts. The transom work was done by Mercedes Fiberglass in Pasadena, TX. 8/8/15, $4600 to replace entire transom with MG plywood and fiberglass. Single tank done at the same time, 150 gallons.

I wish timing was better. I have looked at ad many times and wish I could work out. Id swap 250s for a 300-350 4 stroke and be set; great looking classic hull, with nice trailer, and new tanks and transom.

Good luck! Someones going to get a nice rig.
