Is it to early to start talking, dreaming, planning this wonderful event? I am sure several people have seen snow and possible wrapped up the boats already and can use the thoughts of warm southern weather.

It's never too early.I'm already booked for 2018,but usually I start planning right after first of the year.I would suggest that anyone thinking about it better start looking at SPC since the prime spots get picked over quickly.

I have been booked for some time. Even got the slip reserved. Thinking we need to update the 17 thread with fresh pictures.

I'm really trying to make this event. My family usually goes to Destin for vacation around that time of year. I've always wanted to tote a boat out there.

Destin by boat is a game changer.

What time of year and where is considered home port? We had a house reserved for the Islamorada event in Oct but Irma happened.

June 18-23rd. Sandpiper cove is where the majority stay. Nice condos and nice canal for the boats. No current and little tidal drop.

Nice! A few of us from this site were going to Islamorada the week Irma hit.

My family doesn't want to budge about staying at a beach front condo. Can someone suggest slips I can find? I know they were leaning towards Emerald Dunes.

Edit: I guess having to tote the 19' around wouldn't really be that bad.
