Hi John
I was out today from 10 am - 1 pm, put a 22 inch keeper in box, south of Haglers. Drift around the 112, 113, 114, 116 channel bouys on the channel edges. I'll be back out next weekend.
Also, crabbing has been fantastic, 3-5 feet deep hand lines or traps. Ask the marina where to try.

Heyspike,
We been producing good numbers of keepers in the bay.
Yesterday we boated 4 keepers and few throwbacks running the incoming tide in the flats fishing bucktails and gulp. Sand eels imitations. GPS speed 1-1.5 kts 8-9 feet water. Good luck in LBI.

Hello John,
Haglers is in Brant Beach. Local tackle shops will point you in the right direction. Manahawkin bay is very shallow, so you will need to watch out, maneuver through the buoys stay in the channel, but I'm sure the 17 will drift no problem. Who knows, maybe we catch up if I'm down those weeks.

You will have a blast inthe bay that time of year.
Your 17 is perfect as the barnegat has many shallow area.
I'm not sure where hagglers is but let me know if you have any specific questions and I'll be glad to help.

Long Beach Island
Hello all,
I will be in LBI for 2 weeks this summer, I'm bringing the 17' down and could use some quick bay lessons. It will be my first time on my own boat in the Bay. Do and Don'ts etc.. I'll be In Haglers July 15th-28th. If anyone wants to hook up.
