I have an '81 Mako 223 powered by a troubled 1998 Merc 175 refi. It has always had plenty of power, cruise at 25K and top end at over 42K. Am looking at yamaha 150 4stroke which the dealer says will by ample. I'm not go-fast but want to cruise 24k in heavy chop. But don't want to over work engine or drop top end speed. Anyone have advise on this?
