  • 2015 CM Funament Details

The team has been working to put together a fun experience for the 2015 funament. We have changed things up this year and it should be a great event. Some of the details still are remaining but the core events are set.

We have teamed up with Mako and Bass Pro such that the captains meeting/Social and the Friday night banquet will be at Bass Pro. The captains meeting/social will have light horse dovers while the banquet will be fully catered. There will be bowling at each event.[8D]

In addition there will be Mako swag, some very cool raffle items including a fishing trip with a Mako prostaffer.[]

The current plans, yet to be completely solidified, include the Captains meeting/social to be at BP on Tuesday evening, the social at Ed and Arts on Wednesday evening, Thursday night fireworks on the water, and the Banquet at BP on Friday.

Some of you may have noticed the regi fees have gone up this year. In previous years there has been several members covering discrepancies which we hope to avoid going forward. We will continue to look at the expenses as changes to the event occur and adjust accordingly.

Brandon will update the regi form with some of these details. We felt we had to get it posted even tho we were still working out some of the event specifics.

I am confident the program the team has put together this year will result in a great time had by all, see you there. []

        +1 [8D]

Except the bowling part. I am a good beer drinker and I enjoy bowling, but I'm certainly not even close to good except on the Wii.

Dodge, I'm sorry to hear that. But here's where we stand. For the last 3 years David and myself and a few others have been out of our own pockets to make up the shortfall as the fees have not produced enough to cover all of the expenses. That's not very fair to us. So this year we went up on the fees to hopefully cover expenses. $35 extra should not break the bank when you consider you get capt bag, T-shirt, a meal for the family, and possibly swag and awards as well.

BPS is helping with door prize type stuff and free bowling lane access that we haven't had in the past either. So that adds to the value to the consumer. But in the end it still has to get paid for by someone.

Personally I think it's still a good value.

The thought crossed my mind. But for anyone else who balks at it. There's the reason.

THIS!^^^ I had a buyer for my 7yr old last time right when he changed his mind, so as much as I want the boat I'm afraid to try and sell a kid again.

No need to sell a kid. I'll do a cash-out refi on your home and then you can take the tax deduction on your returns for your boat payment. [][8D][]
