In MD and DE you pay a yearly one time fee of $50 and anyone on your boat can fish . Its two rod limit but thats in the water. Not rods stored in the boat.

So, if you have someone on the boat who is not fishing and just along for the ride, they still have to have a license?

And how does that apply to spearfishermen? I have 2 spearguns + a polespear. Again, not everyone is spearfishing or diving for that matter. Sure seems like a huge steaming load of BS to me.

Pretty sure in NC if you have rods on the boat, you are fishing, and everyone needs a license.

Well, shut my mouth! Never heard of it, but I didn't start "fishing" until recently. Still think it is a steaming pile.
