Then I have 12 Fresh water rods for bass fishing and too finish the list 2 fly rods for when I am bored. Now these are not all the gold penns by any means. Most are TLD 15 or 25's Penn 4/0, couple Toriums and some Diawa 50h classics. The sad thing is I purchases most of my stuff when I lived in CO. I was a little homesick and needed to get by some how.

my name is Leo and I'm a rodaholic tackle junky......[:0]

I will have to show your list to Lisa, my arsenal is similar in number and she thinks I'm crazy for having as many rods as I do. also have a dozen more in various states of repair. maybe 2 or three rods were new, all the rest have been bought used/damaged and cleaned/repaired

she asked me one day "why so many, you can't possibly use them all at once". I had to explain how each rod has a specific purpose and i need two of each for backup[], not sure she is buying that explanation though[B)]

why do you have a 6/0 on an 8 foot rod?shark fishing?

maybe we should start another thread about this?

at what point do you officially become a rod-aholic? []

When your wife asks what you want for birthday, Christmas, etc... and before you get a word in she tosses out disclosure, "And I am not buying ANOTHER rod and reel" [].

On the snapper fishing: like Artie that is what I do here, it is better here, and we like a change. Plus I take my boy in Destin and haven't taken that far out yet. My 1st year we ran to the ledge (Steve's advise and general numbers [])and just found drop offs and dropped quickly getting limit of really nice snapper as well as grouper and AJ (although short [!]).

The rod addiction is a very easy thing to rationalize. If you only have half a dozen rods in your shop and you go out and buy another one, she is going to nail you. If you have 50 rods and you buy another one she will never pick you off.[]

Translation, Art cant find the big ARS's in Destin either.[]

Put up or shut up there East Coast boy. I'll start the bidding at $20 for the biggest fish plus a humiliation act I haven't thought of yet. Probably involves Cougars and older men.... but I'm on the fence. [][][][][]

Yeah I like the sounds of a Tournament inside a Funement to get the juices flowing. Is the wager open per angler or per boat by catagory?

Not sure if I'm a rodaholic or not. But to be safe, I just make sure that there are always a few more pairs of shoes in the wife's closet than rods hanging on my wall. We mutually enable each other. [}]

Each angler over 18 needs a fishing license. If they don't have one, then you can only have one rod per fishing license on board. With out of state registration on your boat, expect to get stopped EVERY time you come in. It is also not un-heard of to be approached while several miles offshore to be checked as well.
