  • Cookout__- who can bring what?

Since we are giving the entry fees back as prize money, we would like the cookout to be a covered dish type event. I realize that some people are coming from out of town, but if you can bring something from the store, that would be great. Of if you would rather pitch in a few extra dollars I will buy some stuff and bring it for you.

    Alcohol is strictly BYOB. []

Please post here what you can bring.

I will be bringing the oil for the fish fry, fry batter, etc. I will also bring waters and sodas.

We need flatware, condiments, and side dishes, such as coleslaw, baked beans, potato salad, etc. A couple of deserts would be nice as well.

Hopefully I'll be bringing some fish![8D]

Stephen, do you have a burner and fry pan? I have one of those sweet aluminum fry pans I can bring. I'm also bringing my batter box. I'll get a few tubes of Ketchup and all secret egg wash ingredients tonight. Once I'm in town, I'll head to a grocery for some french frys and stuff like that as well.

Hopefully fish. But I know where the store is in case the fish aren't biting. I'll grab a tub of potato salad and a few packs of sporks (engineering genious !!), we plan on making some special Mississippi baked beans, and hoipefully we can find the hush puppy recipe Dave's been asking for.....

Did Duke sell you that Baked Bean recipe?[] I'm betting that it has something to do with adding brown sugar and mustard???

Eddie - I was going to use my turkey frying pot - small but deep. Go ahead and bring your pan just in case. I can always grab my dad's burner so we can have two going at the same time!

Looks like we are doing good on food so far. Alright!!! Thinks are looking good again.... you guys didn't know it, but both the manager at the hotel AND the marina quit last week and of course the new people had NO idea what was going on, but we are GOOOOODDDD now! [8D]
