  • 2012 Destin Funament Dates

Glad to announce that Chefs Leo and Ed are returning for 2012. We are planning a fish fry, huspuppies, shrimp and possibly a crawfish boil.

We are set for the week of June 18th, details to follow. Block the week off so you can be sure to make it. []

Sounds like a good plan David. I'm looking forward to next year and hoping to spend more time at all the events.

Sounds like a return to basics, we used to have fun deciding who cleaned the fish before the fish fry. Everyone pitched in and it was a really fun time. I hope to make it next year. I will put in for the the vacation and hope for the best.....

When do you all usually get in to Destin? I see the date is for the 18th but do you all show up that weeked of 15-17? I am going to be leaving for Hawaii sometime in the week of the 18th? Maybe I am crazy but I was thinking of flying down for a day or two.

I'm hoping the weather is a little better this year. We didn't get out for much fishing last year, but the ice chest was always full and we didn't starve. []

No. We got a place right off the Harbor this year. The clan is growing and the previous place just wasn't cutting the mustard. The new place has more kid-ward amenities. Pool, bunk beds, across the street from the beach, etc. Also has 2 boat slips and a 50' bulkhead for better house-to-boat access. Only downside is it'll take a little longer to get to the snow cones on the back bay. []

                          Can't Wait !!

Sounds like a great find. I can't wait and the boys are already talking about their annual Destin trip [:0]. You did leave out 1 minor detail that my crew will be interested in...pet friendly?

Seems not, but we've applied for her green card for full citizenship. She has a job with income, so she qualifies in my book. []

We are working on other possibilities though. []
