Today I met a pilot for BoatPics.com. I asked him what it would take to get a chopper out for the Funament and he told me to give him a call and they would come out if the weather is acceptable and there is interest. Their pictures are fairly expensive but all I've seen have been really good. There is a recent thread on the HullTruth about the company and the owner posted to answer a lot of questions so search for it if you have questions about the operation. Would you guys be interested in me following up on this?

This is something I talked to Allen about. He thought he might have a contact but then its gone quite for a while. I think its a really cool idea. I would like to hear the specifics.

My friend has his own Grumman Tiger based in Destin. He also maintains and flys a Waco biplane for Captain Daves Restaurant. I will shoot him an e-mail and see what he would charge us. I doubt they will be "professional" pictures but he can get close enough to make them clear and I doubt it would cost $250 a picture.

$250 a pic is beyond my choke reflex.

I know people that got pics from our local rodeo, so I got over the sticker shock and choking a long time ago. It is a lot of money and I would definitely welcome a less expensive alternative, but one of these type pics is something I have always wanted.

My friend said he has tried it before and got bad results from an airplane and suggested to stick with the chopper. Sorry guys, boatpics.com might be the only source.

They are expensive and I contacted them two years ago to come to the funament but they had a conflict. If there is a decision to try and get them around, better call soon as they book up quick.
