  • Is it too late to reserve a place?

I've never been to Destin, but it would be nice to get away for a long weekend. How do I figure out where we would need to book a room, cottage, etc. with a slip and trailer parking? I'd like to make this an annual trip, but I'm not sure where to start. Also, I fish offshore, but was wondering if it's worth it to lug all my dive gear along.

Lee, we would love to have you! we are trying to get guys to stay at Sand Piper Cove. You can rent through SPC or you can try renting through VRBO and rent from the owner of individual condos at SPC. Do a google on VRBO and zero in on FL and eventually SPC. You will see listings of condos at SPC that are being rented by the owners and not through the rental service at SPC. If you dont see what you want then call SPC direct and see what they can do for you.

the diving around Destin can be pretty good depending on the vis.

most diving is on artificial reefs and wrecks, not much coral but lots of fish

      some shops

      a few sites

We are opposites.. I have never been fishing off shore, but I want to go catch something big out there this year.. Bring your stuff, book a slip ad SPC.. and show up.. Matter a fact normally we dont get dates until Feb it seemed.. so this is still early

I would like very much to make it to the funament this year. The boat should be ready by then!

speaking of fishing, I don't "fish." I spearhunt fish. Is the tournament open to this type of harvesting or do we gotta use a rod n reel?

The only other two guys I know that might do that are Ben and Platinum.

every category is another award I need to be able to pay for.

I just rented a condo today at SPC #4108[]. It was a little pricey but worth it with slip space next to room and trailer parking. It will be the first Funament we have been to in three years. I have been looking the last two nights on the web for condo's at the SPC site and VRBO site, and whatever site in between, if you want to get a condo on the canal there is only a few left on either site.

                    Looking forward to meeting everybody
