  • 2011 Funament Date

I have just hung up the phone from Allen and Ed,

The dates for 2011 Funament in Destin FL. will be June 20th thru June 27th, yes the event has been stretched a few days for those who wish to try and make it a full vacation.

There will be a post in the next few days that will ask where you would like the event to be based.(in the Destin area)

Right now it seems that the 2 front runners are:

Sand Piper Cove and The Ramada with the boat dockage and trailer parking at Adventure Marina.

If anyone has any other ideas please shoot me an email to [email protected] and I will add the location to the list for everyones review

Please DO NOT SHOOT THE MESSENGER

    Thanks Brad

Brad, My vote is for Sandpipper Cove, It seems more of a "Home" with a full kitchen and all of that.. I would think the rates would be better than the hotel..

The only problem is those dates are Monday to Monday. Typical condo rentals in the area are Saturday to Saturday weekly rentals.

Looks pretty good, but Artie is right about the condo weekly rental dates. Maybe we need to tweak the dates. And yes, Sandpiper Cove gets my vote.

There is always a chance but when the time comes, that long pull seems like near impossible.

never been to destin, just curious is (SPC) on the beach or close to it? if not is there any other condos close to the activities that are close to the beach. Sorry for the dumb questions but the wife and other family members want to be on the beach. Also what is the parking situation for boat trailers?

again sorry for the dumb questions but i have never been to destin trying to find a happy medium for the family.

                          thanks, Hollis

Our private beach, amenities, and vacation rentals are all a perfect combination for creating a memorable Destin vacation. Book with Sandpiper Cove today!

SPC is huge, with many amenities, and on both the beach and the harbor. They have a private launch and a canal for dockage, however parking trailers will be an issue the group as a whole will have to address - not allowed.

                              Brad,

I'm in.My only reservation(ha ha,get it?) is Father's day.I have no problem being there for Father's day,but others may.I work with my Dad so I see him everyday and my immediate family will be with me,so book away.
