  • Fishing Handicap for Destin

Just like Golf, fishing has its handicaps also. Those that live close, and fish the waters regularly often catch the big ones. Those that live far away, are at a distinct disadvantage.

SO, here is what I am thinking....heheh

For every hundred miles of travel to get to the tournament, there should be a 1" handicap.....

Drive 500 miles, catch a 22 inch red, it logs as a 27....[][]

got to keep you Gulf Coast Boys, working hard....

    What do you all think????

        Tim,

Google Maps says closest driving miles is 1814 to go via the southern interstate route of I-10.
AND... 1836 miles if I go via the northern interstate route of I-40 to Amarillo, TX then pick up a myriad of Federal Highways from there to Mobile, AL again connecting to I-10 near Mobile, for the final miles into Destin...

I'll go easy on ya. You guys make the call on any handicap. Don't matter to me much. I'm just happy as STINK to get to come to the gathering once again, and to re-connect with some of the old guys, and get the opportunity to meet some of the newer faces. Either way I'm gonna have FUN...[][8D][]

I was told that there would be no math involved.[!][V][xx(] Can there be a handicap for those whom struggle calculating their handicap.[][?]

            I can see it now....

1st I will consider the Funament Vacation and I DO NOT DO ANY MATH ON VACATION![][][][]

2nd I will go along with your handicap system, but will have to think of something else for the barter []. I can't give you my "special" lures and tell you how and where while you have a handicap [B)].

So...do you guys want a handicap, or a surefire guarantee to catch some king mackeral[][]?

I'll see your bet and raise you a fish cleaning wager. Same one ad always. Smallest fish cleans the rest.

Good news for me is I'll have a guy on from California fishing..... We'll have a world record snapper with these wages......

PS. You made the rules, shoulda clarified before drawing the line in the sand.... Haha
